Transitioning Refugees Towards Self-Sustainability

Take Action Today

About Us

Abdirizak Ibrahim, the Executive Director of the Somali Community Self-Management Agency (SOMCSMA), founded the organization after arriving in the United States as a refugee in 1998 and facing numerous personal challenges. Seeking to address these obstacles, SOMCSMA partnered with University Neighborhood Partners (UNP). Together, they have built a strong collaboration focused on enhancing community capacity and well-being, working hand-in-hand with local residents to develop impactful solutions.
